Bryan A. Parker - Engineering and Tech

A native of Frankfort, Bryan has a passion for unlocking the potential of people from all walks of life and volunteers for the Drone Flight School (DFS) with the goal of empowering everyone who walks through the doors to explore their interests and creativity. His wife Natasha, herself a decorated member of the US Army Reserves, shares in Bryan’s love of science and motivation to see everyone thrive and grow.

In addition, Bryan serves as a co-chair of the Franklin Center for Innovation advisory board. This position has allowed Bryan to provide recommendations and insight into what STEM industries need in their workforce, further positioning the DFS as a leader in the field.

Bryan is a licensed civil engineer with a deep background in environmental remediation and design.  Currently working for the City of Frankfort in the Sewer Department, Bryan’s main role involves designing and maintaining a critical piece of Frankfort’s infrastructure. With the dire need for infrastructure improvements throughout the country, Bryan believes STEM education is an excellent conduit for young people to enter the fields of science and engineering.

He also serves in the Kentucky National Guard as the state’s Preventive Medicine Officer, responsible for the environmental and occupational wellness of each Soldier serving in the state. In addition, he has a Master of Science in Civil Engineering degree from the University of Louisville, which he hopes to use to foster a love of the physical world and guide future engineers and scientists to improve our communities.
