Education - Arlene Crabtree

Arlene Crabtree is a dedicated educator and technology specialist with a strong background in mathematics and computer science. She earned her undergraduate degree in Secondary Math Education from the University of Kentucky and continued her studies at Georgetown College, where she obtained a Master of Arts in Education-Teacher Leader. Furthering her expertise, she achieved a Rank 1 certification with a Master of Arts in Education-School Improvement, demonstrating her commitment to advancing educational practices and student success.

Currently, Arlene serves as the District Technology Integration Specialist for Frankfort Independent Schools, where she has worked for seven years. In addition to her primary role, she also leads Career and Technical Education initiatives, sponsors the Student Council, and coaches the district’s E-Sports team. Her previous teaching experience includes positions as an Information Technology teacher, Computer Science teacher, and Math teacher, allowing her to cultivate a well-rounded skill set in STEM education. She also extends her impact in higher education as an adjunct faculty member at Kentucky State University, where she teaches mathematics.

Beyond her professional career, Arlene is deeply rooted in her family and community. She is married to Greg Crabtree and is a proud mother of three children and grandmother to two grandchildren. Currently residing in Woodford County, she is in the process of relocating to Switzer. Her passion for education, technology, and student engagement continues to shape the future of learning for the communities she serves.
